RESIDENTS at The New Rouse Hill, their families and friends enjoyed an afternoon of fun and excitement at the weekend, as the Mungerie House residential facilities were officially opened by The Hills Shire Mayor, Larry Bolitho.
To celebrate the milestone, joint developers of The New Rouse Hill Lend Lease and the GPT Group, in partnership with Landcom and the NSW Department of Planning held an afternoon barbecue for residents and their guests, in which they could tour the new swimming pool, gym, tennis and multi-purpose courts and clubhouse.
``[The event is] another great milestone for The New Rouse Hill, which has become a vibrant community hub here in north-west Sydney,'' Cr Bolitho said.
``These facilities complement the benefits and quality of life that come with living near the parklands, retail and entertainment, with access to fantastic schools.''
The New Rouse Hill project director, Arthur Ilias, said Mungerie House was the centrepiece of the project.
``We have set out to not only preserve Mungerie House but transform the historical homestead into the heart of a community facilities hub.''
