ROUSE Hill Town Centre's Christmas Tree will come to ``life and light'' this Thursday.

The annual lighting of the tree is another exciting event at the centre.

Families can share in the excitement when the Christmas tree and Main Street light up for the first time.

To celebrate this magical occasion, local community groups will perform in Town Square in the build-up to a special Christmas performance by the stars from Madagascar 2, as well as by Scooby Doo and Kung Fu Panda.

Following these fantastic performances, the Rouse Hill Salvation Army Band will play some of the best-known and best-loved Christmas carols with visitors receiving a carol guide to sing along.

At the pinnacle of the evening the ``illuminated angels'' will step right off the Christmas tree and set the tree alight with their magic star.

Rouse Hill Town Centre general manager Martin Ollis said: ``There will be loads of music, great entertainment, special big screen stars, food and fun. The annual lighting of the tree is an event that all families will enjoy.''

Visit Rouse Hill Town Centre this Thursday at 6pm to witness the annual lighting of the tree.
