THE Kellyville High School boys' indoor soccer team are headed for Brazil after scoring a place in an international soccer competition.

The team booked their spot after winning the Schools Vikings Australasian Championships in Queensland.

``It was a really tough championship,'' coach Fabio Caprarelli said.

``They played so well. They were extremely tired at the end of the tournament but they were just outstanding.

``I am so proud of them.

``It was very emotional when we won.''

The team played Queensland last year's national champs in the final and won 1-0.

``Tactically, they [Kellyville] were far more prepared than the other teams,'' Caprarelli said.

``It was a great tournament and we are just so pleased we are going to Brazil.

``The team head off mid next year.

``We will be playing top teams from South America.

``We know that's going to be really hard.

``They are very, very aggressive players and very skillful so it's going to be tough but we will be ready.''

Captain Sam Mokhtar was buzzing with excitement about the team's latest achievement.

``It's so good. Words can't sum up the feeling. It's awesome,'' Mokhtar said.
